Wando pea is perfect for San Antonio Fall or Spring because it is cold tolerant and more heat tolerant than other pea varieties. Wando pea was introduced in 1943 as a cross between “Laxton's Progress”(an English heirloom) and “Perfection”(a New England heirloom). Plants are 24"-30" tall with 7-9 medium sized peas in each pod. Perfect as a shelling pea. Container friendly. 65 days.
